The Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) and Nasarawa State Government have expressed commitment towards revamping primary healthcare management for improved service delivery in the health sector.

The state chairman of HERFON, Sulaiman Mohammed, disclosed this yesterday at the opening of a 4-day training on change management of primary healthcare reform in Lafia.

Mohammed stated that Nasarawa State is ahead of other states in terms of the implementation of primary health care under one roof which has effectively helped in the implementation of government policies on health.

He observed that: “Umaru Tanko Al- Makura has excelled by bringing all health care staff under the supervision of primary health care agency, with payment of their salaries centralised and domiciled at the agency.
