Insurgency: Foundation Donates N40m to Gombe Hospitals

The Nigerian Foundation Support for the Victims of Terrorism has donated N40 million for the treatment of victims of insurgency in Gombe State.
 
The Federal Teaching Hospital and Specialists Hospital, each received a cheque of N20 million.
 
Presenting the cheques to the hospital managements on behalf of the foundation, the chairman, Theophilus Danjuma and Executive Director, Professor Sunday Ochoche, said they were in Gombe to engage the state government and other relevant on how to support victims of insurgency.
 
 
He said the foundation wasestablished to raise funds, establish the type of support victims may require and to identify children that were made orphans and
women that were made widows as a result of the crisis.
 
Responding, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, Dr. Abubakar Saidu, said the hospital receives victims of insurgencyfrom Borno and Yobe States almost on a daily basis.
 
He promised that the money will be used for the purpose it was given.
