No fewer than 110,048 children were immunised during the last round of polio immunisation against polio virus in Dutse local government area of Jigawa, an official, has said.

Alhaji Suraj Muhammad, the Manager, National Programme on Immunisation (NPI) in the area, said this in Dutse on Monday.
Muhammad said that the council received enough doses of Oral Polio Vaccines (OPVs) for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
He commended religious and traditional leaders in the council for their support in ensuring the success of the immunisation programme.
The manager, who spoke through the council’s Information Officer, Malam Abdullahi Yakubu, also commended the local government for its support to the successful conduct of the exercise.
Muhammad expressed satisfaction over the impressive turnout of children during the exercise and commended parents for their full cooperation.
