Jigawa Partners ABU on Kidney Disease

Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State yesterday said his government had entered into partnership with the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria to engage the services of experts on the high rate of kidney failure.
 
The governor who was receiving officials of the state office of NAFDAC in Dutse said his government would continue to partner with professionals in order to get optimum results.
 
He expressed the readiness of his administration to collaborate with NAFDAC against counterfeit drugs, saying drug abuse among the youth was becoming a common problem and emphasized the need to fight it with all his might before it gets out of hand.
 
 
In his remarks, the State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Kunle Olaniran, said his agency would work with the state government to ensure that counterfeit and unregulated drugs are checked.
 
He stressed the need for the state to engage the services of the agency in training farmers on the best ways of handling fertilizer and agro-chemicals
