The Leadership of the joint health sector unions kano state branch has resumed its earlier suspended strike action. This was made known in a press statement made available to medicalworldnigeria.com by ismail Nasiru and reads:
DIRECTIVE TO ALL MEMBERS OF JOHESU AND APHA IN THE STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT HEALTH INSTITUTIONS TO JOIN THE ONGOING INDUSTRIAL ACTION EARLIER STARTED IN FEDERAL HEALTH INSTITUTION W.E.F MONDAY 5TH JANUARY, 2015.
Reference to our earlier our earlier letter ref KN/JOHESU/ADM/VOL/2014/010 dated 1st December,2014 from the state council for Temporary suspension of the industrial action at state and local government health institutions to sympathize with the victims of recent explosion in Kano. The leadership of the union in the state on 24th December 2014 and resolved to join the industrial action after assessing the hospitals where majority of the victims were discharged to press home our demands as meetings between the Federal Government and the National leadership ended in deadlock.
All branches across the state and local government councils are hereby directed to COMPLY TOTALLY with the strike with the STRIKE W.E.F, MONDAY 5TH,JANUARY 2015. Aluta Continua.
