JOHESU STRIKE: Consultants to Provide Skeletal Services at LUTH

As a fallout of the recent JOHESU Strike, the management of the lagos university teaching hospital has vowed to continue treatment of all inpatients.
 
This was made known in a circular dated 13th November and addressed to all heads of Departments/staff. The circular titled "Industrial Action - Joint Health Sector Unioins (JOHESU) and reads
 
Following the notice of industrial action served by the joint health sector unions, management considers it necessary to bring the following to the attention of all staff.

1) Treatment of all inpatients will continue
2) Skeletal services shall be provided in the emergency rooms by consultants and supporting team members
3) Patients already in ICU, NNJ and other specialized units shall continue to receive uninterrupted treatment.
4) Clinics, laboratories, department of radiology and other facilites shall remain open
5) All professionals are implored to remember that we have a dut to sustain caring for patients who are already under our care
 
These guidelines shall be reviewed periodically for the duration of the strike action. It was signed by the Ag director of administration Babajide Grillo
