Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Oyo state today held her 5th and 6th induction ceremony/ lecture for newly qualified nurses of the College of Health Sciences in Oshogbo, Osun state.
The induction ceremony had a total of 96 nurses for the 5th set, 2011/2012 and another 140 nurses for the 6th set, 2012/2013.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Adeniyi Sulaimon Gbadegesin was ably represented at the ceremony by his Deputy Prof. Timothy Adebayo.
The 236 inductees were led to take the affirmation of oath by the Provost, College of Health Sciences, Prof. Ayoade Adesokan.
Thereafter, the provost also identified and presented gifts to best students from each set; Idowu Olanike Oyeyemi received the gift for 2011/2012 set while Kuti rasheedat swooped the gift for 2012/2013.
Olanike Oyeyemi, best student for 2011/2012 set, who gave the address being the class valedictoran, acknowledged the efforts of all their lecturers, mentioning a few like Dr. Tijani, Dr. Ajibade, Mrs Kolade, Mrs Amoo and Mr. Oladeji.
Mrs. Oguntunde Atinuke Abosede, College Secretary, gave the vote of thanks. It was a great time for all the inductees as they were seen wearing smiles all through the ceremony.
