Medical Doctor, Three Others Sacked Over Alleged Insubordination

BENIN—Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Uselu, near Benin City, Edo State, has sacked a medical doctor and three other workers over alleged insubordination.
 
The affected workers include a medical consultant, Dr. Ambrose Lawani, Kennedy Oriakhi, a Pharmacist, Mr. O. Ugiagbe-Ogbeide and Mr. Theophilus Osifo, a Senior Accountant.
 
Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Sunny Olotu, who confirmed the development said two other staff of the institution, Dr. Charles Ikeji and Ms O. U. Morgan, were suspended by the Management board of the hospital “with recourse to laid down rules and procedures.”
 
The CMD explained that the duo of Ikeji and Morgan were suspended because they had been “investigated by the police and are currently in court over alleged felony.”
