Minister Inaugurates Committee To Review Health Act

…FG reiterates commitment to ending polio scourge

The Minister of Health, Dr Khaliru Alhassan, has inaugurated a Technical Review Committee (TRC) for the National Health Act.

The Committee, chaired by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Linus Awute, is to among other things “discuss the Act in details and propose actionable inputs required to operationalize the Act,” according to a statement made available recently.

Speaking on the need for the TRC, the Minister stated that all 26 members of the committee were expected to advise him in matters relating to operationalization of the Act among others. Meanwhile, the Federal Government has restated its commitment to end polio scourge soon.

Dr Khaliru Alhassan, stated this in a release made available by the Director Press and Public Relations in the ministry, Ayo Adesugba.
