NMA 2016 Elections: 15 Candidates Cleared, 2 Emerge Unopposed

At close of nomination yesterday the 14th day of March 2016, 17 aspirants were validly nominated to vie for various posts into the Nigerian Medical Association executives. Of the 17 aspirants, 15 were cleared while 2 emerged unopposed.
 
Dr Muazu Salisu Babura, Dr Shamshudeen Mashi and Dr Mike Ozohehe ogirima were duly cleared to contest for the position of President. Aspirants cleared for the position of the 1st vice president were Dr kingsely Ekweremadu, Dr francis daduyile and Dr tope Ojo. 
 
Dr Adamu Umar and Dr yusuf Tanko Sununu both emerged unopposed for the positions of 2nd vice president and secretary general respectively.
 
Dr J Emene, Dr dumebi owa, Dr attah ahmed, Dr Olowoselu Olusola and Dr Betiku Benson were duly cleared to vie for the position of deputy secretary general.
 
The position of National Treasure would be keenly contested by Dr Dan-Jumbo Prince, Dr Obimakinde obitade, Dr rasaq Adebayo and Dr benso ogbogu.
