The Pharmacists' Council of Nigeria (PCN) has expressed concern over indiscriminate sale of drugs in Kaduna State.

The Deputy Director and Head of Enforcement, Pharmacist Stephen Esumobi, said yesterday in Kaduna that many pharmaceutical businessmen in the statestart operations without fulfilling minimum regulatory requirements.

"Since these premises have not been recommended for the sale of medicine, the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines sourced from them cannot be guaranteed. If this trend is allowed to continue, it will impact negatively on the health of the citizens," he said.
