Physiotherapy Corpers Association of Nigeria (PCAN) Commiserates with Nigeria Society of Physiotherpy(NSP) on Death of Prof Nwuga

The Physiotherapy Corpers Association of Nigeria (PCAN) has commiserated with the immidiate family, Nigeria Society of Physiotherpy(NSP) and the Department of Medical Rehabilitation,
College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University Ife over the demise of the First Professor of Physiotherapy in Africa and Former NSP President, Emeritus Prof. VCG Nwuga.
 
In a satement Jointly Signed and issued in Akure by its Interim National President and Interim National Publicity Secretary, Uduonu Ekezie Uduonu and Comr. Gerald Ikah Ifeanyi respectively, the Association noted that the loss of the Emeritus Professor is not only a big blow to Nigeria Physiotherapy but also to global Physiotherapy. While Praying for the repose of his soul, the association pledged its commitment to the Nuwga Physiotherapy Foundation.
 
Part of the statement reads "We received with great shock the demise of a great Physiotherapist, Prof Nwuga on the wee hours of Wednesday, 25th June 2015, while we are aware of the inevitability of death, we are stunned and shocked to the marrow that the cold hands of death could snatch Prof Nwuga away from us at this point in the lifetime of Physiotherapy profession in Nigeria,
 
where his wealth of experience and high professional cum academic certifications remain the guiding principles to uplifting the profession, While we decry this unavoidable loss, we still keep faith and hopeful that he is at the right side of God, praying for and interceeding on behalf of the Physiotherapists across the globe, a profession he gave his best while on earth,  we send our unalloyed condolence to the family, the Leadership of NSP and to all the entire members of Nwuga Physiotherapy foundation. To the members of the foundation, we pledge our determination to partner with the foundation towards ensuring that the dreams of Prof Nwuga lives.
 
We but take solace in the fact that the late Physiotherapy Icon lived a life worthy of emulation and impacted positively on the lives of many, the statement concluded.
