The National Association of Resident Doctors, (NARD) Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, (AKTH) Branch, has suspended the strike embarked upon by its members since 3rd June, 2015.
In a communique made available to reporters in kano on Wednesday signed by the President of the association of AKTH Dr Abdullahi Sharubutu, Secretary General, Dr Saminu Muhammad and the Public Relations Officer, Dr Usman Yahya Umar respectively directed doctors to resume work.
"The ongoing strike action is hereby suspended and work resume s on Monday 31st August, 2015 at 8:00hrs," said the communique.

They further warned that any breach of the agreements within the MOU, jointly signed by the Management, delegation of the National Assembly led by Honourable Magaji Da'u Aliyu for intervening and ensuring that clinical services are restored for the benefit of the masses.
"Any victimisation of our members in any form as the result of the strike action will also lead to industrial disharmony," warned the communique.
