A non-governmental organisation, Julie Donli Kidney Foundation, is collaborating with the Security and Exchange Commission to end avoidable deaths arising from kidney-related ailments.
The foundation also said it had intensified its campaign towards saving the lives of Nigerians that had been diagnosed with kidney-related ailments.
It called on multinational companies and corporate organisations to assist in advocacy and treatment of patients.
Founder, JDKF, Julie Donli, who is also a lawyer, said in Yenagoa on Tuesday that the foundation was committed to issues bordering on advocacy, treatment and sponsorship of kidney transplants for patients.

She, however, noted that the participation of corporate organisations would increase the numbers of patients to be saved from death as a result of the ailment in the country.
Donli said her foundation’s visit to the Director-General of SEC, Mr. Mounir Gwarzo, was part of the efforts to deepen the partnership with SEC, towards reducing the high mortality of kidney patients.
In his remarks, Gwarzo assured the foundation that SEC would make the partnership work.
