The current officers of SOGON would complete their 3-year term of office after the 2017 Annual conference in Sokoto. This call for nominations has become necessary to fill the positions that will become vacant. Members are to note the following:
i. Election would take place on Wednesday November 22nd 2017 in Sokoto
ii. The following are positions to be filled –
a) President – to be filled by the current 1st Vice president
b) 1st Vice President
c) 2nd Vice President
d) Secretary General
e) Treasurer
iii. Only financially up-to-date full members can vote, and be voted for.

iv. Candidate for the post of 1st Vice President in addition must meet the following conditions:
• S/he must be ten (10) years or more as a member of the Society by the date of the election.
• S/he must have been a member of Council for 3 years
v. Nomination forms can be obtained from SOGON Secretariat located at House 7, Drive 2, Prince and Princess Estate, Abuja OR down loaded from SOGON website www.sogon.org as from September 15th, 2017
vi. Completed nomination forms should be endorsed by two members in good financial standing and returned to SOGON Secretariat or sent to SONGON email – [email protected]
vii. Nominations shall close at 4.00pm on Monday 23rd October 2017.
