Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko yesterday called on the entire workforce in the state to call off their warning strike and resume work, assuring that their demands would be met soon.
The governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade said the state government would next week complete the payment of November salary for all categories of workers in the state.
Saying the welfare of the workers is important to him, the governor said the state government had been looking into the demands of the workers and woulddo everything to satisfy them.
Workers in the state public service had on Tuesday commenced a three day warning strike to press home their demands on the state government.
The warning strike has paralyzed activities in all government parastatals and agencies in the state.
The workers are among other things demanding the payment of all their deductions and also the promotion of all workers that are due for such.
The chairman, Joint Negotiation Council (JNC), Mr Sunday Adeleye said the workers resorted to the strike when the government failed to honour the agreement it reached with the workforce.
Mimiko said his government was not out to frustrate its workers, adding all their demands would be met.
