Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, has carpeted the Federal government over perceived lukewarm attitude to the dwindling fortunes of the nation’s health sector called on Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, to join forces with striking health workers on the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU, to compel government at all levels to see an urgent need to meet their demands.
Making the call in Lagos, PSN President, Olumide Akintayo, said it would put an end to the woes and sufferings unleashed on innocent masses because of government insensitivity and negligence on the welfare of health workers.
According to him,”Pharmacists on the aegis of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria have noted with concern the apparent lukewarm attitude of government which has manifested in its extremely slow response time.”
