The Leprosy Mission Nigeria, a Christian NGO working in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, towards the eradication of leprosy and the rehabilitation of persons and communities affected by Leprosy in 9 sates, is looking for suitable, qualified and experienced Nigerians for the following positions for a duration of 1 year six months renewable on extension of project and satisfactory performance:
1. Medical Advisor Global Project (2 Positions)
The medical director shall be based at the national coordination office in abuja.
Description:
. provide technical support for the implementation of Global Fund TB program in the states supponed by TLM Nigeria.
• Maintain contact with National TB and Leprosy Control Programme INTBLCP), donors implementing warmers and other stakeholders on behalf of the urgent/anon.
• Support the States MI.( Programmes in policy fimnulation, communication des clopinent. advocacy and routine vollution of TB data
• Analyze field reports to determine weaknesses in pmgrunime delivery and suggest recommendations for Improvement.
• Lead the production of programmatic and M and E progress reports
• Coordinate. the preparation and submission of Progress Update and disbursement request (PUDR) reports.
Requirements:
Candidates should have the following:
• First degree from a recognized institution in Medicine & Surgery.
• An MPH would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years working expenence on donor funded TB projects in Nigeria
• Strong skills in leadership, organizational, analytical, institutional capacity strengethening
• Ability to relate effectively with development partners. Civil Society Organizatons and Ministry of Health at national and state levels
• Excellent wntten and oral communication skills with proficiency in computer packages such as MS Word. Excel, Power point, Epi-info and SPSS are necessary
• Experience and good understanding of Global Fund principles and procedures is desirable
2. Officer-Monitoring and Evaluation- TB: Reportting to HPO
Specific Responsibility
• Provide technical support and oversight to ensure monitoring and evaluation excellence of the GF TB project.
• Provide technical support to sub-Recipients (SRs) in ensurering that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured and reported according to set guidelines.
• Support the developement and design of the M&E framework, tools and project M&E plans, guidelines and ensure efficient data management processes
• Conduct routine monitoring and supportive supersitory visists to project sites, collation/analysis of monitoring reports for feedbackand decision making
Qualifications:
• Applicants must have a university first degree in releveant discipline. A masters degree in public health will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of on tuberculosis, Malaria or related fields and programme in developing countries and working experience with global fund, USAID or any donor agencies
