As part of the activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Ogun State, an ultramodern fully-automated Diagnostic Centre was launched at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu. Ogun State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye said services at the Centre which is open to all Nigerians, are discounted to enable the less privileged in the society have access to the modern radiology diagnosis facilities.
The Centre is a Public Private Partnership with Hospital Assist Nigeria, HAN, an indigenous healthcare investment / consultancy company. The CEO of HAN, Dr. Wale Alabi said the Centre is deployed as a hub for diagnosis service in Ogun State. All other General Hospitals in the state can be linked to the Centre for remote reporting of their radiological investigations.

” He also informed the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who represented the President, that similar models can be replicated in other states of the federation. Alabi urged government to look for local solutions in other to ameliorate challenges in healthcare delivery in the country.
Equipment includes the latest Siemens CT Scan, multifunctional fluoroscopy machine, digital x-ray, 4D/ 3D Ultrasound, Mammography machine.
Among those present at the ceremony were the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adekumbi Suraju Ishola, the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Mrs, Yetunde Onanuga, and wife of the State Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun and other top government officials.
