Addressing the new inductees, the Registrar of PCN Pharmacist N.A.E. Mohammed, called on the new members not to be discouraged with the current dismal state of the Nigeria
health sector.

Mohammed advised the inductees to contribute in making the country’s health sector better.

He described pharmacy as a respected profession, urging them not to be involved in corrupt practices capable of vitiating their professional oath.

He said: “Today, as you take this oath, never go any inch above or below the requirements required of you as a pharmacist. Do not get involved in malicious practices that would bring the profession in bad light.”

The best graduating student of the department, Amaka Eunice Ukwuhaiwe, who spoke on behalf of the students, urged her colleagues to be patriotic and hardworking.

The event was attended by Professor Abiodun Falodun, the deputy vice chancellor of academics, dean of the faculty of pharmacy, Professor John Akerele, and heads of departments.
