UP-DATES ON NUAHP STRIKE
The National Secretariat of our Noble Union wishes to report to you that the indefinite strike declared by NUAHP on Thursday, 16th October, 2014 is very effective and is getting stronger by the day.
Our Unit Branches at the North-West, North-Central, South-South, South-East and South-West are all in compliance.
Furthermore, the Ministry of labour and Productivity could not hold the intended meeting with our leaders on Wednesday, 22nd October, 2014 because the Ministry is still preparing the list of circulars generated by our leaders at the meeting with the Ministry on the 15th of October, 2014.
There would be a meeting between the Government and leaders in JOHESU next week. The outcome of the meeting shall be disseminated to our members in due course.
The strike still continues therefore, you should disregard any letter of threat or intimidation from your various Managements. The Union had replied the letter from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity and we have been invited to a meeting with the Government next week.
No financial member of the Union shall be victimized during or after this strike. Kindly report any act of victimization of any member to the National secretariat for necessary action.
The leadership of NUAHP salutes the courage of all our Comrades, your calmness and resolve to follow through and to make the strike effective is highly commendable.
