AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded orqanization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of diseases of public health importance in
Nigeria, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, among others. Since 2001, we have worked closel with key stakeholders to reduce the burden mitigate the impact of those diseases through cutting edge, innovative & sustainable approaches. 
 
We are seeking qualified and suitable candidates to assume the following positions: 
a. Program Officer- Clinical Services [Lagos] 
The successful candidate will be a member of the State Team and will provide technical support in all aspects of HIV/AIDS services at the APIN-supported programme sites in order to integrate and improve service 
. delivery, scale up of services and achieve programme targets in the state. S/he will also strengthen working relationships with stakeholders and build systems for programme sustainability. 
Job Tasks 
. Manage the State Team and work program 
. Interface between the APIN Program Office, sites, relevant govemment agencies and other stakeholders in the state 
. Support the roll-over of existing treatment sites in the state from other partners to APIN as the lead implementing partner 
. Work towards complete coverage of the state by identifying areas of unmet need for HIV services and anchor scale up of HIV services to new sites in the state 
. Identify training and technical assistant needs and provide technical and programmiltic support for the implementation of high quality treatment, care and support programme, working towards    target achievement at the APIN supported tertiary, secondary and primary sites 
. Lead the development and implementation of site work plan, towards achieving high quality healthcare delivery and programme sustainability, in collaboration with other members of the State Team 
. Work with the state office head to coordinate the implementation of all components related to the clinical management of HIV/AIDS 
. Work with GON/USG stakeholders and other partners to plan. implement, monitor and evaluate ART, PMTCT, HIV/TB as well as Care & Support programme in the state, using international best practices 
. Work closely with team members to document best practices, share experience and make recommendations as appropriate 
Minimum Qualifications and Experience 
A degree in the Medical Sciences (MBBS or MB.Bch.) with a postgraduate fellowship in Internal Medicine or Paediatrics; and a minimum of eight years' experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment programmes; experience in MNCH, RH, Malaria and TB programmes and an MPH would be an advantage 
Technical and Behavioural Competencies 
. Good working knowledge of current national and WHO HIV/AIDS guidelines for prevention, treatment, care & support of adults and children 
. Knowledge of models of working with and linking different tiers.ofhealthcare facilities 
. Ability to multitask, with knowledge of various programme areas 
. Ability to work with discretion and minimal supervision I

b. Program Officer- Clinical Services (Private Sector) [Ibadan] 
The job holder will be a member of the Private Sector Team and will provide technical support in all aspects of HIVIAIDS services at private health facility programme sites, in order to integrate anq,lmprove service delivery, scale up services and achieve programme targets in the state. Sihe will also stren~then working relationship with private sector stakeholders and build systems for programme sustainability. 
Job Tasks 
. Lead the Private Sector Team in the state and the work program 
. Interface between the APIN Programme Office on the one hand and the APIN partner sites and HIV stakeholders in the state on the other 
. Work towards complete coverage of the state by identifying areas of unmet need for HIV services and anchor scale up of HIV services to private facilities in the state

c. Program Officer - Monitoring & valuation [Jos] 
The job holder will be a member of the State Team and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of monitoring & evaluation (M&E)as well as quality assurance (QA) systems in collaboration with the SI Team. 
Job Tasks 
. Assist in setting up M&E and QAsystems at the program sites in the state 
. Provide technical assistance to program sites in the collection, analysis, reporting and use of output data for programme improvement 
. Collate monthly reports and provide feedbacks on the consistency of data with program design in collaboration with the state team 
. Share program output data with the state team and relevant government agencies through the state office head 
. Facilitate periodic and donor initiated data quality audits (DQAs) atAPIN-suppbrted health faCilities and Civil Society Organizations 
. Monitor the progress of the program towards achieving targets in the states 
. Work in collaboration with the State Team to follow up on monitoring & evaluation committees at the program sites to ensure the promotion of data utilization by relevant end users 
. Provide technical support to site quality improvement committees to set up and implement internal quality management in collaboration with the State Team 
. Facilitate the provision of technical support to strengthen M&E and QA systems at the state level 
. Contribute to the development and review of appropriate data collection tools and procedures for all monitoring and reporting needs 
. Contribute to the periodic review of the organization's quality improvement protocol in line with the national . Conduct periodic visits to program sites, travelling up to 25% of the time 
Minimum Qualifications and Experience 
An MBBS and a minimum of eight (8) years' work experience, including at least four (4) years supporting the implementation of M&E systems as well as 'Planning and executing program evaluation; an MPH will be an advantage

d. ExecutiveAssistantto the CEO [Abuja] 
The job holder will have responsibility for providing a wide range of proactive administrative and executive support to the CEO's Office, including activity planning, documentation, communication and reporting. 
Job  Tasks
. Manage the administration of the CEO's office in order to provide an environment for efficient programming 
. Proactively seek up-to-date knowledge of new developments in programming and brief the CEO adequately 
. Maintain a network of contacts relevant to the organization on behalf of the CEO and facilitate interaction and communication on relevant matters 
. Review documents and make summary notes to the CEO 
. Assist with the preparation of documents for presentation at stakeholder meetings 
. Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents, as well as prepare background documents and outgoing mail as necessary

A member of the State Team, the job holder will assist the Program Officers - Clinical Service in providing technical support in all aspects of HIV/AIDS services at APIN-supported sites, in order to integrate and improve service detivery, scale up of services and achieve programme targets in the state. S/he will also strengthen working relationships with stakeholders and build systems for programme sustainability.

. Assist in setting up M&E systems in theAPIN program office and private health facilities 
. Provide technical assistance to supported private health facilities in the collection, analysis, reporting and use of output data for program improvement 
. Collate monthly reports and provide feedbacks on the consistency of data with program design in collaboration with the Private Sector and State Team 
. Support the provision of program output data to the State Team and relevant government agencies through the state Program Officers- Monitoring & Evaluation 
. Participate in periodic and donor initiated Data Quality Audits (DQAs) at private health facilities, which are directly engaged by the supported orqanizasons 
. Support the monitoring of progress made in program implemented with the private sector, towards achieving targets in the respective states 
. Work in collaboration with other members of the State Team to ensure that the supported organizations hold regular data review meetings to promote data utilization

i Program Advisor - Pharmacy Logistics &SCM [Lagos,lbadan & Jos] 
Also a member of the State and Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management (SCM) Team, and the job holder will coordinate and oversee all Clinical Pharmacy activities of the program in collaboration with the office supporting the management ofthe general logistics of HIV/AIDS pharmaceuticals and other related commodities, as well as support the in-country supply chain system as may be necessary. 
Job Tasks 
. Collate all records of shipments to sites, while preparing monthly reports as at when due 
. Track usage of drugs and commodities at the program sites 
. Assist the Program Specialist - Logistics & SCM in the delivery of goods into, and movement out of, the warehouse 
. Work in conjunction with the Program Specialist - Logistics & SCM and the Program Associate - Inventory 
. Management to ensure that all packages delivered by the distribution partners are accounted for and are in good condition before taking possession 
  Make necessary input into the monthly allocation of stock to the program sites 
. Participate in quarterly stock review of drugs and other consumables in the Store 
. Provide clinical oversight at the facility levels including identifying, preventing, and/or resolving drug-related problems, as well as delivering training to <!lid promoting continuing education of  relevant site personnel on 
. Clinical Pharmacy in collaboration with other members of the State Team 
. Review the Pharmacy on monthly basis to ensure the use of appropriate antiretroviral therapy and liaise with the 
. Associate Director - Pharmacy & SCM, site pharmacists and physicians (where necessary) to resolve discrepancies
. Track and maintain records of approvals and clinical follow-up of patients requiring restricted drugs 
. Identify on-going Clinical Pharmacy training needs for program office and site healthcare staff 
. Liaise with the sites on clinical drug-related issues, providing information and responding to enquiries therefrom 
. Keep abreast with latest advancements and current practices in antiretroviral pharmacology and related topics/issues in the management of HIV, through continuous reading and understanding of conference abstracts/summaries and journal articles 
Minimum Qualifications and Experience 
A first degree in Pharmacy, Purchasing & Supply/Logistics, or any other relevant qualifications and minimum offour (4) years in Logistics/Supply Chain Management of H IV/AI DS commodities or in any other relevant function 
Technical & Behavioral Competencies

. Basic logistic and operational understanding of the supply chain
