Through PEPFAR, the U.S. Government (US G) is the largest contributor to programs for OVC in Nigeria. As partnerships with the Nigerian Government, UNICEF, and other donors continue to be productive and strengthened, PEPFAR support has been instrumental in helping key Nigerian government agencies to articulate standards for OVC care and guidelines for establishing OVC programs. Through the CUBS Project, PEPFAR will strengthen capacity of federal and state government agencies to plan and implement ove programs. The Project will support the implementation of Nigeria's National Plan of Action on OVC by developing and strengthening community based service delivery for orphans and vulnerable children.
Capacity building in mobilizing community action aimed at safeguarding Children and Women in Uhunowerre Community in Igbo-Eze South LGA, Enugu State
Period of Performance: (January,2014 April 2014)
Technical Supervisor: Chief of Pary
Objective:
An  experienced Facilitator is needed to provide capacity building and technical support to key community stakeholders through Foundation for God's Love. Nsukka in Safeguarding Children and Women in Ohunowerre Community in Igbo-Eze South LGA. Enugu State and to work to articulate next steps towards the abolishment of traditional practices that are harmful to women and girls in the South Eastern Nigeria
Activities:
The facilitator is expected to draw up a training curriculum, implementation guide and follow-up plans for the intervention
PHASE 1:
Literature  review and delelopment of implementation plant and traing curriculum
Design pretest and finahze a needs assessment tool
Conduct need assessment
   . Map and identify key change agents (Influencers, Opinion leaders, and drivers) Who are ready to talk and willing to have a change.
    . Identify and share the root causes of the problem.
    . Build stakeholder consensus and buy-in on tackle the problem 
    . Identify key public and private institutions that are necessary to support the change 
     . Write a report of the needs assessment and use the findings to develop clearnext steps to support FFGL to continue to drive the process of change 
PHASE 2:
Guide the implemantation of the next steps as articulated in the FFGL work plan. EG review of comminity ,etc 
Conduct capacity building for agents of change 
Hold monthly debrief to share achievements and share monthly progress reports with  the project team.
Final report writing: 
Expected Outcome/Deliverables:
Root causes of the problem clearly outlined with suggested actions to address them 
Capacities of change agents built and the change agents are seen to take actions 
Community constitution adequately reviewed to address the need
Training report with full proof available 
Communication materials for community stakeholders as evidence of work done 
Monthly briefing meeting with the profect team on progress
A detailed report of the facilitator to be made available at the end of the work
