WHO: Guidance for care of pregnant women in an Ebola Outbreak

Posted on: Thu 10-09-2015

There is no evidence to show that women who survive Ebola virus disease (EVD) and subsequently become pregnant pose a risk for Ebola virus transmission.

However, pregnant women with active EVD may transmit the virus during delivery or management of obstetric complications.

Read this guidance document on screening and triage of pregnant women in the context of an Ebola outbreak; infection prevention and control precautions for pregnant women; management of contacts and survivors and lactation for EVD survivors.
