The Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) in Ogun State has suspended its strike that provided an avenue for private hospital owners to exploit patient in the last four weeks.
According to the Chairman of the Senior Staff Association in Abeokuta Federal Medical Centre, Mr Samuel Idowu, in a statement, the suspension became imperative in view of positive steps being taken by the hospital management aimed at resolving the impasse.
While calling on the relevant authorities to act fast on the issues that initially led to the industrial action, he, however, advised his members to rededicate themselves for quick service delivery to the public, who looked towards the hospital for their medical attention. The health workers have been requesting for improved condition of service.
