A woman was arrested in Marshall for impersonating a nurse at a Davita Dialysis location and is charged with Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information and two counts of Nursing Regulations - License Required to Practice Nursing.
Stephanie Garcia, a 29-year-old Henderson woman, is facing charges after allegedly giving false documents to her former employer in order to get a job at Davita Dialysis in the 1300 Block of South Washington in Marshall.
According to the Marshall Police Department, the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office got a complaint from the Texas Board of Nursing regarding Garcia back in November of 2017.
The complaint alleged that Garcia was practicing nursing without a license.
After authorities extensively investigated the complaint, MPD discovered that Garcia had used someone else’s license number to gain employment at the dialysis clinic as a Registered Nurse.
Garcia was arrested on March 14, 2018 and charged with a single count of Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information and two counts of Nursing Regulations - License Required to Practice Nursing.
She was then booked into the Harrison County Jail, and her bond is set at $35,000.
