Bowen University, an institution under the proprietorship of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, is committed to adding a distinctly moral dimension and Godly values to tertiary education in Nigeria. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Bowen University residential Cambridge Advanced Level and/or Interim Joint Matriculation Board EXamination (IJMBE) for the 2014/2015 Session. IJMB examination will hold in February; 2015 and the Cambridge Advanced Level exam ination will hold between May and June, 2015. 

1. THE PROGRAMMES' SPECIAL ADVANTAGES· 

The intensive teaching from our dedicated Lecturers and conducive learning environment would enable a student to pass the Cambridge A'Level and IJMB Examinations in his/her three (3) All subjects, with such high grades that would qualify him/her for Direct Entry admission into the degree programme at Bowen University or any other university both within and outside the country. 

2. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

Candidates must possess a minimum offive (5) O' Level Credit passes at one or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalents in subjects relevant to' their intended degree programmes. However,' a Humanities applicant who is deficient in Mathematics, or a Science applicant who is deficient in English Language may be permitted to take the affected OIL subject concurrently with his/her three (3) AIL subjects for IJMBE programme only. 

3. PLACEMENT INTO DEGREE PROGRAMMES 

At the end of either ofthe Programmes, students interested in admission into Bowen University will need to apply formally to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) by completing the Direct Entry Application Forms, on which must be indicated the Universities and degree programmes of their choice. Final admission into a particular University for a particular programme will, of course, depend on the stUdent's level of performance in the Cambridge and IJMB Examinations. 

4. SUBJECTS AVAILABLE AT CAMBRIDGE AND IJMB 'A' LEVEL EXAMINATIONS 

Three combinable subjects from the following groups: Group A (Science Subjects) Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Group B (Arts/Social Science Subjects) Christian Religious Studies, Accounting, Economics, Government, Geography, History, Literature-in-English and Sociology are available. 

5.· MODE OF APPLICATION 

i. Applicants are required to visit Bowen University website at http/www.bowenuniversity-edu.org for completion and printing of pre-application slip. 

ii Applicants are requested to take the pre-application slip to any branch of either First Bank Pic or Skye Bank Pic, for payment of N4,500.00 

iii. Upon payment of N4,500.00, a Pin would be generated for the applicant. 

iv Applicants are expected to use the Pin to complete and submit the e- application form via the Bowen University website www.bowenuniversity-edu.org

CLOSING DATE 

All applications must be completed and submitted on or before Monday, 31th March, 2014. 

SCREENING EXERCISE 

All candidates who submit their e-applications shall be required to participate in a Screen ing Exercise scheduled to hold as follows:

9. RESUMPTION

Successful candidates shall resume for studieson friday, 11th April, 2014 and lectures shall commence on Monday 14th April 2014
