Achievers University, Owo 2020/2021 Supplementary Admissions for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes

Sequel to the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) for Achievers University to run new Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the following new programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session: 

New Undergraduate Programmes 

  1. B.Sc. Human Anatomy 
  2. ii. B.Sc. Human Physiology 
  3. B.Sc. Public Health 

Entry Requirements 

(i) Candidates are required to have sat for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 160 as approved by NUC and JAMB. 

(ii.) They must also have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/NECO (SSCE) or NABTEB. These should include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

New Postgraduate Programmes 

  1. PGD, M.Sc. & Ph.D. Biochemistry 
  2. PGD, M.Sc. & Ph.D. Industrial Chemistry 
  3. PGDN, M.Sc. & Ph.D. Nursing Science

Entry Requirements 

i. PGD 

Candidates must have a minimum of 3rd Class Division degree from Achievers University, Owo or any other recognized university in the proposed programme of study or related fields. Holders of professional diploma such as FIND or its equivalent are eligible to apply. 

ii. PGDN 

Candidates with diploma in RN, RM, RPH and degree in other fields related to nursing profession are eligible.

iii. M.Sc. 

Candidates must have a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division degree of Achievers University, Owo or any other recognized university in the proposed programme of study. 

Candidates with 3rd Class Bachelor's degree or HND (minimum of Lower Credit) must have, in addition, a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 maximum CGPA to qualify for admission. 

iv. Ph.D. 

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% (B grade) in Master of Science degree of any university recognized by Senate in relevant disciplines. Candidates with M.Phil certificates from recognized University are also eligible for admission. Candidates must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity as well as effective decision-making and problem-solving potentials.

Undergraduate Admission 

Application for admission can be fully processed online via the University website, www.achievers.edu.ng.  Candidates can also visit the University Registry to obtain admission forms and process admission. They are to pay a sum of N10,000 to Ecobank Account No 5282039914. 

Postgraduate Admission 

Candidates can process admissions by 

1. Downloading the forms from the University website, or 

2. Obtaining the forms at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Achievers University, Owo. 

They are to pay a sum of N15,000 to Ecobank Account No 5282039880. 

SCREENING OF CANDIDATES 

Screening of applicants for admission holds daily (Monday to Friday) between 9.00am and 4.00pm at the University Campus, Km 1, Idasen-Ute Road, Owo, Ondo State.
