There will be admission of eligible candidates into Schools of Basic Midwifery Programme in Akwa Ibom State. 

A. Registration: Commences from Wednesday 11th Jan, 2023 – 3rd Feb, 2023 between the hours of 8:30am – 3:00pm daily except public holidays and weekends.

B. Venue: Registration will ONLY take place at Nursing Service Directorate, Ministry of Health, Headquarters, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo. 

C. Qualification: WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB with credits in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics in not more than two sittings. 

NOTE: NABTEB Stands alone (It cannot be combined with any other Examination)

D. Registration / Processing Fee

i. Registration Fee:

• Indigenes – N5,000.00
• Non-Indigenes – N7,000.00

ii. Processing fee – N8,000.00

iii. Nursing and Midwifery Committee – N500.00

iv. Customized file – N500.00

Total: Indigenes – N14,000.00, Non – Indigènes – N16,000.00

E. Requirements for Registration 

i. Three recent colour passport photographs 

ii. Original and two photocopies of each of the following:

• Educational Certificates – FSLC, WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB
• Birth certificate or age Declaration
• Certificate of Local Government of Origin 
• Change of name (if applicable)
• Age (16 years and above)

F. Date of Entrance Examination: Saturday 18th Feb, 2023
