Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates, male and female for admission into the POST BASIC COURSE in Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing for the year 2023/2024. The course leads to the award of a REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHIATRIC NURSE (RMHPN) Certificate of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 

i) Prospective candidates must POSSESS RN CERTIFICATE of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with at least ONE YEAR post qualification experience. NYSC for degree holders. and a current practicing license. Other nursing qualifications will be an added advantage. 

Candidates must also posses any of the itemized qualifications below: 

ii) Applicants must possess WASC/GCE OIL with at least live (5) credits in NOT MORE THAN TWO II (2) SITTINGS. 

iii) National Examination Council Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with at least five (5) credits in NOT MORE THAN TWO (2) SITTINGS: 

iv) NABTEB Secondary School Certificate in science subjects with at least five (5) credits at a maximum of two sittings that must not be combined with WASC/GCE OR NECO. 

• The Credits must include ENGLISH LANGUAGE. MATHEMATICS. CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY AND PHYSICS. 
• The duration of the course is eighteen (IS) months.

Applications are to be made in candidates own handwriting. stating both their educational and professional qualifications, NYSC status if applicable and should be accompanied with photocopies of credentials. two (2) recent passport photographs on white background, email address, phone numbers and evidence of payment of a non-refundable application fee of N10.000.00 (Ten thousand ruin only) which can be paid at the hospital's Revenue Unit or into the hospital's Treasury Single Account (TSA) with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
