ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 

(A) Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

The criteria for admission into the PGD Programme are as follow: 

  1. Five Credit Passes including English, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at 'O' Level. 
  2. Bachelor's Degree holders from any NUC approved University with a minimum of Third-Class Degree in a relevant discipline. 
  3. HND in relevant Programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of Lower Credit. 

(B) Master's Degree Programmes 

The criteria for admission into the Masters Programme (M. Sc.) are as follow:

  1. Five Credit Passes including English, Mathematics and three others relevant subjects at 'O' Level. 
  2. A minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline of universities approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). 
  3. University Degree in Third Class or HND plus a university PGD with Credit Level Pass. 

(C) Master of Engineering Programmes 

The criteria for admission into the Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) Programme are as follow: 

i. A First Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from a 

recognized University with minimum of a Second-Class Lower Division, provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied. 

ii. An Upper Credit Pass in the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in a relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized University, provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied. 

(D)Professional Master's Degree Programme 

i. A minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline of Universities approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). 

ii. University Degree with Third Class or HND plus a University PGD at Credit Level Pass, for admission into Professional Master's Degree Programmes. 

iii. Demonstration of adequate intellectual capacity, maturity and effective decision-making and problem-solving potentials.

(E) Ph.D. Degree Programmes 

i. Relevant Master Degree of Afe Babalola University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Afe Babalola University with Minimum of 60% or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 on a 5.00 Grade Point. 

ii. Any candidate with a CGPA from 3.00 to 3.49, shall be admitted into M.Phil/Ph.D. Programme, except Engineering, with the opportunity of converting to Ph.D. Programme later. 

The criteria for admission into Ph. D. Nursing Programme are as follow: 

i. A Master Degree in Nursing with a Weighted Average not less than 60% or CGPA of 4.00 to 5.00 on a 5.00 Grade Point. 

ii. Master of Philosophy Degree (M. Phil.) in Nursing with a Weighted Average of 55 to 59% or CGPA of 3.50 to 3.99 on a 5.00 Grade Point. 

iii. Satisfying the requirement for conversion at M. Phil/ Ph. D. Programme 

The criterion for admission into the M.Phil. Nursing Programme is as follows: 

i. M.Sc. Degree in Nursing with a Weighted Average Score of 50 to 54.9% or CGPA of 3.00 to 3.49 on a 5.00 Grade Point.
