We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cardiologist

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Role

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiologist to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and treating patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
  • Assisting and/or performing complex surgical interventions, as needed.
  • Using radiological findings/investigations to diagnose and treat heart and/or cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conducting ECHO and stress investigations on both inpatients and outpatients and reporting findings.
  • Ensuring patients have a positive experience, are treated with dignity and respect, and are well-informed about their health conditions.
  • Maintaining detailed records of patient appointments, treatments prescribed, and test results.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical history and test results.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educating patients and their families about heart health, disease prevention, and treatment options.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor with additional Post-graduate qualifications in Cardiology from the West African College of Physicians (WACP), West African College of Surgeons (WACS), or the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or its foreign equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Leadership skills and understanding of hospital services and competition in the industry.
  • Excellent analytical/critical thinking skills and written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Knowledge of general operations in Cardiology and other aspects of Internal Medicine including the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is an advantage.
