Job Title: Clinical Quality Manager

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary

We are recruiting a Clinical Quality Manager (QA) Lead who will be instrumental in upholding and advancing our commitment to clinical excellence and regulatory compliance across all units of Lily Hospitals.

This is a strategic role suited to a medically trained professional (preferably a doctor) who brings deep insight into hospital operations, clinical risk, quality improvement, and patient safety systems.

The ideal candidate understands that clinical quality isn’t about ticking boxes—it’s about building sustainable systems, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care—every time.

 

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Governance & Compliance:

  • Lead the implementation and continuous audit of quality and safety systems in line with COHSASA, ISO 9001, and national standards.
  • Coordinate internal quality assessments, clinical audits, and policy reviews to ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols.
  • Work with heads of departments to close quality gaps and align with best clinical practices.

 

Quality Improvement Strategy:

  • Drive hospital-wide quality improvement projects using Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and other lean tools.
  • Analyze trends in clinical incidents, near misses, and patient feedback to identify systemic improvements.
  • Lead risk assessment efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies.

 

Training & Engagement:

  • Train clinical and non-clinical staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical audit methods, and quality improvement tools.
  • Build a quality-driven mindset across departments, fostering shared responsibility and ownership.

 

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality, safety, infection control, and patient outcomes.
  • Present quality reports and recommendations to leadership on a periodic basis.

Experience & Expertise:

  • A Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) is strongly preferred or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in clinical quality, hospital administration, or healthcare governance.
  • Familiarity with COHSASA, ISO 9001, and Nigerian health standards.
  • Practical experience with Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, or similar methodologies.
