We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cluster Coordinator

Locations: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Osun

Duration: Six Months

Report to: State Team Lead

Scheduled work time: Monday – Friday

Background

  • The TB-LON 3 Project is a USAID-funded Award that is a revolutionary program working with communities, facilities, and relevant State and National structures to improve access to TB case finding, diagnosis, treatment, and notification in Lagos, Ogun, Osun, and Oyo States; as well as increase domestic financing for TB and strengthen surveillance and integrated reporting across four result areas:
  • Improved access to high-quality, person-centered TB treatment, DR-TB, and TB/HIV services for a cumulative number of at least 126,576 persons for the life of the activity
  • Strengthened systems and structures for TB detection, treatment and notification with TB service delivery platforms strengthened.
  • TB disease transmission and progression reduced.
  • TB research and innovations accelerated with improved impact on program implementation.
  • The TB-LON 3 Award is implemented by a consortium, with the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) as the Prime Recipient, the Society for Family Health as the Sub-Recipient, and other Implementing Entities.

Responsibilities

  • Support high-quality data recording and reporting into TB documentation tools.
  • Check and maintain the intensified TB case finding and treatment process at clustered facilities using the hub-and-spoke model.
  • Support the Community Mobilization Assistant in coordinating, collecting, and reviewing community intervention data.
  • Collate and review data from TB Screening officers in his/her assigned clustered facilities.
  • Routine visits to assigned facilities within his/her cluster to ensure quality TB screening process at the clinic when necessary.
  • Support various OPD and service delivery points and DOTS referral linkage coordination, ensuring seamless integration between both clinics regarding referrals to ensure no patient loss (100% linkage rate to DOTS).
  • Provide technical assistance to screening officers and contact tracing officers on TB screening, presumptive identification, and further evaluation for diagnosis.
  • Support high-quality data recording and reporting with Spot checking of TB documentation tools.
  • Provide support to Contact tracers to ensure maximum yield from contact tracing activities.
  • Collate weekly site cascade reports and routinely verify reports generated against source documents and report challenges to the IHVN supervising officer where necessary.
  • Regularly support the updating of all NTP documentation tools in the LGA.
  • Ensure daily update is made into NTP recording registers.
  • Assist TBLS in monthly/quarterly data collation and reporting.
  • Support with data retrieval, collation, and review from different SDPs and interventions in the LGA.
  • Support with filing and proper record-keeping of documents and tools.
  • Support quarterly data review and reporting on various reporting templates.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • Should possess a background in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Health Sciences or Community Health
  • Knowledge of the TB epidemiological situation in the States.
  • Good knowledge of the terrain in the assigned Local Government Areas.
  • Strong coordination, planning, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong networking and representational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to identify and develop relevant work areas.
  • Able to communicate complex issues concisely, accessible, and engagingly.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.
  • Conversant with using Microsoft Office Applications – MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Applicant must be domiciled in the local government he/she is applying for.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong coordination, planning, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong networking and representational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and presentation skills, with proven experience in analysing data and developing PowerPoint presentations and other reports.
  • Comfortable planning and delivering multiple activities under pressure to strict deadlines and high levels of precision.  
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to identify and develop relevant work areas.
