Lily Hospitals Limited, established since 1986, remains one of the foremost hospitals in Nigeria and within the South-South region of the country. It is the first private hospital in Nigeria to achieve ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification from the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and was also recently accredited with COHSASA (Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa) Certificate.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Deputy Provost

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as Deputy Provost.
  • The Deputy Provost will play a critical role in supporting the Provost in the strategic planning and administration of academic affairs.
  • The Deputy Provost will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the designated campus and acting on behalf of the Provost as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of a second-class Honors Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Must possess a teaching qualification (such as a PGDE/Diploma in Education Nurse/Midwife Educator) and be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant working/teaching experience as a Nurse, with at least two (2) years at a managerial level, preferably in a tertiary institution.

Requirements

  • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in ICT and a satisfactory ability in relevant basic digital skills applicable to modern management systems.
  • Candidates must exhibit reputable character/behavior and be physically fit for the intended role.
  • Candidates are required to submit a Suitability Statement for the post they are applying for along with their Curriculum Vitae (CV), and they will also be expected to provide the originals of their certificates and other relevant credentials during the interview process.

Terms of Appointment:

  • The position is on tenure appointment for a period of four (4) years in the first instance.
  • Following satisfactory performance, re-appointment for another period of four years only may be considered.
