Nigerian Government on Thursday extended the current phase two of the eased lockdown by four weeks. Chairman of the Presidential COVID-19 Taskforce, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this at the ongoing task force briefing in Abuja.
The government had on July 27 extended the current lockdown by one week due to Sallah celebration on July 29th. Mustapha said the extension followed the PTF recommendation to President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.
He said the current curfew of 10 pm to 4 am is still in force. The SGF also disclosed that civil servants on grade level 12 and above are now to resume work on full working time of closing by 4 pm and no longer 2 pm.
He also said government meetings are to continue to be virtual.
