Benin Medical Care, consist of Benin Medical Care Hospital and BMC Diagnostics Limited. BMC is a private-owned ultra-modern 60 bed multispecialty hospital located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, consisting of a Hospital and Diagnostic Centre. It was commissioned and opened in November 2019. The Hospital employs the services of various Consultants from different Specialties including but not limited to Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics as well as Medical officers. The Diagnostic Centre consists of Laboratory and Radiology Department and offers services such as 24 hours laboratory services, MRI and CT Scans, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Digital X-rays and Ultrasounds Scans.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Pharmacy

Location: Benin City, Edo

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Overseeing approved stock of drugs/ medicines/ and other emergency drugs.
• Managing & co-ordination of purchases & inventory control of drugs.
• Monitoring quality of medicine Negotiations with distributors regarding the availability of drugs at optimum cost.
• Pharmacy fund & expenses with prior approval of CEO Preparation of MIS reports
• Preparation of shift schedule & delegation of work
• Preparing periodic reports and returns on the utilisation of pharmacy services.
• Preparing pharmacy policies in consonance with the established policies of the hospital.
• Prescriptions audit
• Report to Head Clinicals about daily operations and any discrepancies from Department Review of protocol, labelling, storage etc. and medicinal products product licenses etc. as required to meet their legal responsibilities
• Specifications of all drugs, chemicals, antibiotics, biological and pharmaceutical preparations.
• Supervise and control the drugs returns to pharmacy & maintain a record for the same.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Pharm qualification
• 2-3 years as HOD Pharmacist/Senior Management working experience
• Must have worked at a renowned hospital.
