Admission requirements

Basic Requirements:

Candidate for the programmes must possess five (5) 0’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) Arts and/or Social Sciences subjects.

Specific Requirements:

• Candidate for (i) must be a holder of HND with a minimum of Lower Credit, Registered Nursing Certificate, Community Health Certificate or their equivalents from recognized higher institutions.
• Candidate for (ji) must hold a First Degree of not less than Second Class Lower Division in relevant areas (Health Education and
• Special Education, Nursing. Psychiatry, Psychology, and any other relevant discipline in Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities) OR Hold LAUTECH Postgraduate Diploma Certificate or its equivalent from other recognised Universities.
• Candidate for (iii) must possess all the requirements for (ii) in addition, the candidate must have a Master's degree in Social Work with a minimum of 60 weighted scores. Furthermore, the candidate must have at least ten (10) years of cognate working experience in the relevant industry to the field of study.

FACULTY OF PURE AND APPLIED SCIENCES

Department of Pure and Applied Biology

• Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Health (PGDEHM) with specialization in

• Master in Environmental Health Management (MEHM) (Public Health Option)

Admission requirements

Basic Requirement:

Candidate for (i) and (ii) must possess five (5) 0' Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Geography/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Health Education etc.

Specific Requirements

Candidate for (i) must possess

• Bachelor's degree in Science and Science-based courses with a minimum of Third Class from a reputable University/Applicants with Higher National Diploma (HND) and its equivalents from recognized Polytechnics and Institutes with minimum of Lower Credit in relevant Science-based courses, such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Science, Science Laboratory Technology, Forestry, Fisheries, Health Technology, Community Health, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Animal Health and Technology, Environmental education etc. are also eligible.

Candidate for (ii) must

• Be a graduate of LAUTECH or of any approved University in Science and Science-based disciplines with at least Second Class Honours

OR

• Possess a PGD in Public Health Management from LAUTECH or from any other approved University with a 60 CGPA or (3.5) weighted average score or a University degree not less than Third Class (with evidence of at least 5 years of post-qualification cognate working experience in a relevant organization)

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES

• Postgraduate Diploma - Minimum of two (2) semesters
• Master's Degree - Minimum of four ® semesters
• Doctoral Degree - Minimum of six (6) semesters
