NOTICE OF TEMPORARY WAIVER OF SURCHARGE ON 2026 ANNUAL PRACTISING LICENCE FEES

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) hereby informs medical and dental practitioners who are yet to pay for their 2026 Annual Practising Licence that a temporary waiver of surcharge has been approved.

This waiver applies to the payment of the 2026 Practising Licence fees and is valid until 23:59 hours on Monday, 5th January 2026.

This decision aligns with the Council’s commitment to continuous service improvement and is granted in consideration of a number of practitioners who were unable to take advantage of several earlier opportunities provided for seamless payment before 31st December 2025.

All affected practitioners are strongly advised to utilize this window to:

Update their personal records on the MDCN portal
Complete payment of the required 2026 practising licence fees

All completed payments and updates will be duly reflected in the Master Register.

Important notice:

Payments for the 2026 practising licence made from 6th January 2026 onwards will automatically attract the applicable surcharge for late renewal
