We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist - Hematology Department

Location: Warri, Delta

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and monitor diseases and conditions related to hematology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized hematology tests, including blood counts, coagulation studies, and bone marrow examinations.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control procedures.
  • Collect, process, and analyze blood samples according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss test results and provide diagnostic information.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in hematology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent.
  • Current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hematology laboratory.
  • Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory practice.
