Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• BioRapid Laboratory is seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team.
• The successful candidate will support laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and analyzing specimens while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and process patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Prepare reagents and ensure proper storage of laboratory consumables.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Observe quality control procedures and laboratory safety guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
• Support Medical Laboratory Scientists in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Requirements

• Diploma or National Diploma (ND) in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license (where applicable).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility.
• Good understanding of laboratory procedures, biosafety, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
• Applicants must reside within Jabi or Lugbe, including the Carwash, Police Signpost, Aleyita, or Trade More areas.
