Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos.

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to accurately diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on diagnosis, medical history, and evidence-based medicine principles.
  • Provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care to patients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, and monitor patient response and progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for patient autonomy.
  • Stay abreast of advances in medical science, technology, and treatment modalities through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience working as a Medical Doctor.
  • Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across various medical specialities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centred care with empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity.
  • Willingness to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet patient care needs.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth, with a passion for excellence in clinical practice.

Salary

N350,000 per month.
