  • It contributes directly to the clinic’s goal of helping patients understand their health, identify risks and make informed treatment decisions.
  • The Medical Officer achieves this by working with nurses, laboratory professionals, the pharmacist and specialist clinicians to deliver coordinated, respectful care.

  • Support weight-management care, including assessment, counselling and medication monitoring where appropriate. Provide hormone-health assessment and arrange specialist input when required.
  • Review laboratory results and formal imaging reports within your competence. Escalate abnormal or urgent findings and track follow-up.
  • Explain treatment options, expected benefits, limitations and risks. Obtain and document informed consent before treatment.
  • Recognise adverse reactions and clinical deterioration, initiate emergency care within your competence, and coordinate escalation or transfer.
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic clinical records, including prescriptions, consent, test results and follow-up plans. Protect patient confidentiality.
  • Coordinate care with nurses, laboratory staff, the pharmacist and relevant specialists. Provide clear instructions and clinical handovers.
  • Follow infection-prevention, medication-safety and incident-reporting procedures. Contribute to clinical audits and improvements in care.
  • Participate in continuing professional development, patient education and appropriately approved health-screening or corporate-wellness activities.
