Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Health Information Management, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State for the 2024/2025 academic session. The programme is in two parts. Part and Part Ii leading to the award of the National and Higher National Diploma in Health Information Management respectively.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS PART I PROGRAMME (ND)

1. Prospective 2024 UTME candidates with a minimum score of 140.
2. In addition to (a) above, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in the relevant subjects, at not more than two (2) sittings at the SSCE, WASC, NABTEB or their equivalent.

The subjects must include:

• Mathematics
• English Language
• Biology
• Chemistry and Physics

PART II PROGRAMME (HND)

1. In addition to the specific entry requirements for the ND programme for Health Information Management, candidates for the HND Programme must meet the following entry requirements.  
2. National Diploma Certificate in Health Information Management.
3. Professional Diploma/Technician Certificate in Health Information Management by HRORBN.
4. Evidence of completion of one year of relevant work experience in an accredited Health Institution approved by the Board.
5. Candidate must have passed the part 1 license examination of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN)

CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

Selection of candidates for the parts | and II programme will be based on screening of JAMB results in WAEC/NECO/GCE, NABTEB ND/HT, and any other relevant certificate to determine qualification for admission. Please note that the admission process is on-line.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

1. ND admission screening tee is N2000 (two thousand) naira and N500 for online charges total of N2,500
2. HND admission form is N7,000 and N500 for online charges total N7,500
3. The candidate should make payment of non-refundable application fee of N2,500 (for ND) & N7, S500(for HND) through Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital remita platform, www.remita.net
4. Use RRR number to complete the form on the website www.shimnauth.net and a copy will be sent to your e-mail which you will present on the day of screening.
5. The date for the screening exercise for the 1st batch part | and part Il programme would be September 12, 2024.
6. 2nd week of September 2024 is the commencement of the New Academic Session for 2024/2025.
7. Supplementary screening for 2nd batch ends 2nd week in January, 2025
8. Prospective candidates should come along with the ORIGINAL COPIES of their Certificates, processed admission form and payment receipt for the screening.
