Applications are invited from suitably qualified Associate Fellows for Postgraduate MD program in Clinical Medicine and Dentistry in the following Faculties of NPMCN for the 2020/21 Academic session.

THIS PRE-FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME IS OPTIONAL AND DOES NOT REPLACE THE REGULAR RESIDENCY TRAINING.

MD BY COURSE WORK AND RESEARCH
ELIGIBILITY: Associate Fellows of the College who have passed the Part 1 examinations in the respective faculties.
Residents who have started working on their Part II proposals would also be accepted.

MD BY RESEARCH
Young Fellows of the College (or other postgraduate medical colleges) by examination who are interested in teaching and research and have completed the Research Methodology and Health Resources Management Courses can also apply. They will be exempted from course work.
DURATION – 4 Semesters

MD by Research Application

FOUNDATION MD
To provide adequate trainers and supervisors in accredited centres, senior Fellows and Professors who have been involved in the training of resident doctors and are accomplished researchers can also apply for the award of the MD according to guidelines approved by the College Senate.

Foundation MD Application 

MODE OF APPLICATION
This Postgraduate MD programme will be run by NPMCN in its accredited institutions in various parts of Nigeria commencing in October 2020.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a 500 words concept paper clearly defining the subject matter they intend to research on. They will also be required to select supervisors from a pool of approved professors and MD holders in accredited institutions and acquired their consent within 2 weeks of admission into the MD programme.

Tuition fees as comparable to those in other postgraduate institutions will apply.
