Earlier today, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Plateau State Council in Conjunction with the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Plateau State Council accompanied by the Nigeria Police sealed off an Illegal School of Nursing known as "Hill College of Nursing and Midwifery" located at Former College of Accountancy, Bauchi Ring road Jos.

The public needs to know that Plateau state is infilterated with many fake schools related to Health training quacks who in turn operate in various places as Nurses, more worrisome is the fact that many so call private hospital higher them because of cheap sallaries using them as Auxillary Nurses.

It is also disheartening to know that this same people can't excuse themselves from the increase number of maternal and infant mortality rate in the state as most of them pose as trained midwives while in actual sense, they've never been trained as one, some also have become expert in terminating pregnancies for our teaming youths who end up destroying their wombs among others.

We call on the public especially parents to always make enquiries especially at the state ministry of health before enrolling their children's in most of these schools.

We are aware of the presence of many quarks in most of these self acclaimed private hospitals and we are more than ready to arrest and jail them as well as seal any of these hospitals found wanting.
