Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Community Health Officers' Training Programme for 2021/2022 academic session at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife.
The Training which lasts for two Calendar years will commence in September, 2021, leading to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(a). West African School Certificate/GCE "O" Level, or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with Five Credits level passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
In addition to qualifications in (a) above, candidates must possess any of the following Professional qualifications and experience for eligibility to apply:
- Diploma in Community Health with not less than two years post-qualification experience.
- Community Health Extension Workers Certificate with 5 years' experience.
- Applicant must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners' Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practising license.
(b) WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL INTERVIEW
Selection for admission will be based on candidates' performance at a Competitive Written test and Oral interview to be conducted on Monday, it and Tuesday, 13th July, 2021 respectively.
CANDIDATES ARE TO BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AND PRACTISING LICENSES TO THE EXAMINATION CENTRE.
(c) METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms are obtainable from the Community Health Officers' Training Programme Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife at a cost of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only, after payment into OAUTHC's TSA Recurrent Account via REMITA PLATFORM through any Commercial bank of your choice and indicate the purpose of payment as "Admission Form into CHO Training Programme".
Thereafter, the evidence of payment should be brought to the school to collect admission form.
(d) CLOSING DATE
Completed application forms duly endorsed by sponsors, together with photocopies of relevant credentials should be forwarded to the Community Health Officers' Training Programme, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife not later than Friday, 2s July, 2021.
