Job Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage and operate diagnostic equipment and related instrumentation to produce high-quality, accurate results.
- The role is also responsible for maintaining excellent service delivery standards and supporting ongoing professional development within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of all procedures.
- Accurately record and input patient data to uphold data integrity for both patients and the service.
- Operate diagnostic equipment safely and effectively in line with departmental protocols and manual handling regulations.
- Oversee routine equipment testing, ensuring proper documentation, result interpretation, and timely reporting.
- Maintain safe practices across all procedures in compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure precise entry of patient examination details into the appropriate Information Management System.
- Modify standard techniques as necessary to accommodate patients with limited capabilities or special needs.
- Take full responsibility for each patient procedure to ensure the production of quality results required for clinical reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Physiology, Anatomy, or any health-related discipline.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in the healthcare sector.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety or HSE is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of occupational health regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to report statistical findings.
- Hands-on experience with the following diagnostic investigations:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Audiometry
- Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Ability to prepare Medical Certificates of Fitness for patients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of diligence and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must reside in Port Harcourt or its environs.
