Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality healthcare to children and adolescents, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to delivering compassionate care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of pediatric conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 3 - 5 years work experience.
  • Valid license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
  • Certification by the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or West African College of Physicians (WACP) in Pediatrics or as a Consultant, as applicable.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, stamina, and empathy for patients.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Familiarity with cultural and religious considerations of patients.
  • Knowledge of current legislation on patient rights.
  • Professional demeanour and commitment to providing compassionate care.
  • Evidence of competence in pediatric case management and active participation in relevant research.
