Emel Hospital Festac Town, Lagos, Nigeria isa multi-specialists’ hospital, situated at 21 Road, Z Close in Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Lagos, Nigeria. Emel Hospital is a purpose-built 44 bed hospital situated on a piece of land specially approved for its purpose by the Federal Housing Authority.

Emel Hospital was established in 1988 by Dr. Olufemi Mobolaji-Lawal, a consultant paediatrician. Dr. Mobolaji-Lawal trained as a doctor at the University College Hospital, Ibadan and as a paediatrician in the United Kingdom. Prior to setting Emel Hospital, he worked for some time as consultant paediatrician at Ikeja General Hospital (now Lagos State University Teaching Hospital), Lagos. He is the board chairman and his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Margaret Mobolaji-Lawal is a non-executive director.

We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescribed medications accurately.
  • Label medications correctly according to prescriptions and hospital procedures.
  • Ensure all medications are stored according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor medication stock levels and report low-stock items promptly.
  • Receive, inspect, and record pharmaceutical supplies delivered to the pharmacy.
  • Arrange medications using the First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) principle.
  • Remove expired, damaged, or recalled medications from stock.
  • Assist in attending to patients courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Record all medication transactions in the pharmacy management system.
  • File prescriptions and other pharmacy documents appropriately.
  • Assist in preparing pharmacy reports as required.
  • Adhere to all Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations and hospital policies.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of pharmaceutical waste.

Requirements

Valid Pharmacy Technician Practicing Licence issued by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).

1–3 years' experience in a hospital or community pharmacy is an added advantage.
